The
grounds are beautiful. The house is surrounded by sea-view
gardens,
one of which, on the southeast side of the house, is sheltered -
great for windier days. Outside, near the main patio area, is an
enclosed garden with swings, a sandbox and children’s climbing frame. |

The
Connemara is a wild and hauntingly beautiful area of Ireland.
There
are breathtaking drives along the N59 up to Westport and down to Galway
City. Clifden, 5 miles from the property, is a terrific village,
very happening. It has
shops, pubs and several superb restaurants. A lovely coral beach
is only 250 yards from the house, and a broad, sandy beach is only
1½ miles. The area offers sailing, horse riding, deep sea
fishing and trips to the local Islands. The surrounding mountains
provide endless opportunities for hill walking and fishing in mountain
lakes. |
