The owners, who own a lovely small hotel nearby, have put their considerable expertise and design sense into the creation of this new home. Enter the wide entrance hall and know immediately that a treat is in store. The hallway is red with shiny white woodwork and black and white tile floors. There are antiques and art to welcome you. |

The
yellow sitting room, to the right of the hallway, is beautifully done
in
richly colored fabrics. There is comfortable, traditional
furniture
and excellent appointments collected over the years, a fireplace and a
bay window which overlooks, appropriately, Cashel Bay, just across a
little
lane.

The
beautiful large dining room has a pine farm table to seat 12,
yellow
walls, terra cotta floors, white glass-fronted cupboards and a big
black
Aga stove. The dream kitchen is stylish and efficient and filled
with all a gourmet cook could desire. There is a pantry/boot room
behind the kitchen with ample storage for fishing or other gear.
There is a guest powder room on the main floor. |

There
are five large bedrooms; three bedrooms each has a queen and two
bedrooms
each has twin beds. One bedroom has a dressing room. All of
the bedrooms are beautifully done, comfortable, with excellent color
choices
and fabrics. The en suite bathrooms are fresh, new, tiled, large,
pretty. One of the bedrooms is on the main floor. |

There
are beautiful gardens in the back of the house with places to sit a
spell.
The house is on the grounds of the owners’ small country house hotel, a
wonderful place to go for a special dinner. There are trees and
tall bushes between the house and the hotel. The hotel tennis
courts
and fishery are available to residents of the house. The owners can arrange cleaning and cooking for you at an additional cost with advance notice. Children are warmly welcomed here. Deep sea fishing can be arranged. The Connemara (home of the world-famous Connemara ponies) may be the most haunting area of Ireland, rocky, wet, green, still. It’s difficult to describe, but it’s unforgettable. Horse riding, fishing and walking are available. Golf courses are nearby, including the renowned course at Ballyconneely. There are authentic pubs and superb restaurants. A beach is 6 miles from the property. |

Heating and electricity are extra, charged at cost by meter readings. Refundable security/damage deposit of € 650 is due on arrival. This property is not available for Christmas. Cleaning is available: € 15 per hour. |
