This Stuart garden building, dating from 1620, was designed to be a gazebo.  It adjoins the manor gardens and is a vertical structure.  At the Court House entrance are a terrace and garden with a baroque sundial on the wall.
 

One enters a stone-floored hallway that opens to the small kitchen.  The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator/ freezer, microwave.  A bathroom with a tub and shower over tub is adjacent to the kitchen.  On the other side of the entrance is a little loggia which is now a charming dining room with glass doors, separated by a Tuscan column, which open onto the garden.
 

Up a narrow wood spiral staircase is a terrific sitting room with a pink and beige striped sofa, a writing desk, ancient wood floors and windows on three sides.
 

When you arrive at your cottage, there will be a tea tray prepared and chocolates to welcome you.  You can order flowers and champagne on ice.  Car service and airport transfer can be arranged as can laundry, babysitting and maid service.

Make sure you reserve at least one dinner at The Cyder Mill, the owners’ on-site restaurant.  The food is fabulous - you cannot do better anywhere in the Cotswolds.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:

Although most of the cottages are not appropriate for travelers with limited mobility, Summerfield House is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes a one story accommodation.  Woodwells, with its ground floor twin bedroom and bathroom with shower is also an excellent choice for those who would find stairs a difficulty.  Many of the two story cottages have stairways that are accessible for travelers who have minimum difficulty with stairs.  Some cottages have bathtubs only which may be difficult, but others have shower stalls.
