This is the most traditional of the cottages.  Built in 1877, it is a typical stone farm cottage.  The entry hall opens to the pretty Victorian sitting room on the left.  There are two raspberry sofas, a golden-mustard easy chair, nice flowered draperies, TV.  A little nook has wallpaper that looks like bookshelves - very whimsical.
 

The dining room, on the right of the center hall, seats 8.  It’s not large, but it’s very nicely furnished with an old farmhouse table, a large framed mirror and a fireplace.

The farmhouse kitchen is at the back of the cottage.  It has a hob, over, refrigerator freezer and a  microwave.  A breakfast table is in front of a window that overlooks the back garden.

Beyond the kitchen door is a hallway which leads to the back patio door and serves as a cloakroom for boots, coats and jackets.  There is a twin bedroom off this hallway and a bathroom with shower, loo and basin.

Upstairs, there are two very nice double bedrooms.  The yellow bedroom has an antique Victorian brass bed.  The other bedroom, with old pine furniture, is also very nice.  A very large bathroom has a tub with shower over tub.
