is the main section of a classic 17th century Cotswold
farmhouse. The photograph on the right shows the farmhouse.
The small wing to the left
of the house is not occupied and is not part of the rental property.

The
entrance hall opens to a terrific spacious and comfortable sitting room
that has yellow walls, comfortable furniture upholstered in a rich
coral fabric, a fireplace with a stone mantle. An Oriental rug
covers elm floor boards. Glass doors and large windows open onto
the delightful garden. The mood is quiet and peaceful.

The
large farmhouse kitchen has an Aga stove, dishwasher,
washer/dryer,
microwave, refrigerator, a refrigerator/freezer is in the adjacent
utility room. An antique farm table seats 6 comfortably and
an easy chair and window seat make this a welcomiing place for
cooking feasts.

Upstairs,
there are two very nice bedrooms. One bedroomhas a queen bed, an
antique wardrobe, an Oriental rug over the original oak floors.
There is a wood-panelled
sitting area that has a comfortable sofa. The en suite
bathroom with a tub and a stall shower.

Up
another flight of stairs is the master bedroom. It's an attic
room with the original beams and a peaked roof. Lovely. It
has a queen
bed, an oriental rug over wood floors, a large windon and a separate
dressing
room. The en suite bathroom has a shower stall.

The
enclosed garden is lovely. One corner has an early 18th century
granary
made from bricks fired on the farm. Paddocks
run down to the River Stour. The
property is just outside the hamlet of Willington on the River Stour at
the northern edge of the Cotswolds.

The
nearest pubs are 1-2 miles from the house. A larger
range of shops and restaurants are in Shipston, 1.5 miles. The bustling
Chipping
Campden is 6 miles. Stratford-upon-Avon is 11 miles. |
ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:
This
is an excellent property for people who can manage interior
stairs. There isn't a bathroom
on the main floor.
