The smallest cottage is a very private studio apartment set in the last bay of the Barn, converted above the coach house in about 1700.  With massive oak beams and trusses dating from the 1450s, it is light and romantic.  There is a private terrace with garden and meadow views. 
 

Enter the studio via a long hallway lined with books.  The sitting area has comfortable furniture, some antique, and nice appointments.   The double bed has a headboard with fabric matching the curtains - French script on a richly colored background.
 

Two steps lead down the kitchen/dining area that has a small table for two.  The kitchen is basic, but it has all one needs.  The bathroom has a tub with hand-held shower. 

When you arrive at your cottage, there will be a tea tray prepared and chocolates to welcome you.  You can order flowers and champagne on ice.  Car service and airport transfer can be arranged as can laundry, babysitting and maid service.

Make sure you reserve at least one dinner at The Cyder Mill, the owners’ on-site restaurant.  The food is fabulous - you cannot do better anywhere in the Cotswolds.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE:

Although most of the cottages are not appropriate for travelers with limited mobility, Summerfield House is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes a one story accommodation.  Woodwells, with its ground floor twin bedroom and bathroom with shower is also an excellent choice for those who would find stairs a difficulty.  Many of the two story cottages have stairways that are accessible for travelers who have minimum difficulty with stairs.  Some cottages have bathtubs only which may be difficult, but others have shower stalls.
