This place is really something. Recently built as a boutique hotel, the owners now also offer it in its entirety as a fully-staffed, exclusive luxury accommodation. Meticulous attention to detail and a unique location make this a very special property. We love the owners and we know you will too.

Dingle Mansion Vacation Rental House and B&B

Enter a wide, gracious reception room that has richly colored fabrics, antique furniture, fine art and a fireplace. To the right, is the large, beautifully-appointed drawing room. It has a fireplace flanked by two wonderfully comfortable sofas. There are two other conversation areas that have easy chairs and tables. The room has bookcases and carefully-chosen art and artifacts. Views are of the gardens and Dingle harbour.

The dining room is enormous. Many more than 20 can dine in comfort and luxury. The large circular room, with windows opening to a view of the bay, give the dining room a conservatory feel. A door opens to a large patio with outdoor table and chairs.

There are four en suite bedrooms on the main floor, each with a private patio, and six bedrooms upstairs. One main-floor bedroom is fully-equipped for universal access. It is a beautiful room that is suitable for everyone.

Two bedrooms have a king bed that can convert to twin beds.

One bedroom has regular twin beds. The rest of the bedrooms have a queen bed. All bedrooms have beautiful antique furniture, easy chairs, fine art, many special touches.

All of the bedrooms have TV, video, direct dial telephones and modem access, hair dryer, clothes press and thick, fluffy white robes. Each luxurious bathroom has a tub and a shower cubicle, a double sink, marble counter tops, a heated mirror and towel rail, underfloor heating. All rooms have either a harbour view or a garden view.

These photos show most of the bedrooms. Each time we've visited some rooms were occupied so we couldn't take those photos, but each room is the same high standard as those you see here. There are no "best" or "bad" bedrooms here!

On the stairway landing is a study with a computer and Internet access. Overlooking the town, it’s a great place to ‘people watch’ as you browse.

THIS IS NOT A SELF-CATERING PROPERTY. It comes with full staff. Daily breakfast and an informal, self-service afternoon tea are included. For weekly rentals, dinners on 4 nights are required.

When not booked in its entirety as an exclusive rental, the owners offer B&B rooms.

The property is a 5-minute walk from Dingle town centre and harbour. Once a fishing village, it now has a cosmopolitan feel with many high-end craft shops, galleries, pubs, cafes and superb restaurants.

The Dingle Peninsula is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and hospitable people. It has a unique wildness and beauty. A drive around the peninsula reveals fascinating antiquities ranging from Iron Age stone forts to the Early Christian Gallurus Oratory built sometime between the 6th and 9th centuries.

Dingle harbour, with its fishing trawlers, pubs and restaurants, is popular with every age. A favourite pastime is dolphin watching. Tourists and locals alike try to catch a glimpse of the star of dolphins, Fungie, a resident in Dingle since 1983. There are many stretches of sandy beach including Inch Strand where Ryan’s Daughter was filmed. The nearby Great Blasket Island Center is a gorgeous building with impressive exhibits of the Blasket Island people.

Shannon is 108 miles; Dublin is 219 miles; Cork is 97 miles; Killarney is 40 miles; Tralee is 30 miles.

2008 PRICES Heating & Electricity, Breakfast & Daily Houskeeping Included. Dinners are extra with advance notice for approximately €50 per person. The Mansion is not available for B&B from November through February.
