This is one of two gorgeous villas that are located at the end of a secluded road on the grounds of a 5-star hotel. All of the hotel's amenities are available to you.

As soon as you approach this beautiful thatched house you'll know that something special awaits you. While it's recently built, the style and workmanship remind one of houses from an earlier time. It is authentic.

Enter into a wide hallway that has gray-green walls and crisp white woodwork. Stairs go up to the second floor. A guest powder room is on the right.

Straight back from the hall, the large living room has two sofas each covered in butterscotch cotton, an easy chair covered in striped fabric, two benches, a square coffee table, a large wood burning fireplace. On the right of the fireplace, a bookcase holds a flat screen TV and a DVD player. A beautiful gray desk is on the opposite wall from the fireplace. There are many decorative touches on the room, all stylish and beautiful. Walls are painted that luscious gray-green and the wide-planked wood floor is covered with tan Berber area rugs.

Two sets of French doors open onto a wide, private stone patio that has a dining table and 10 chairs and a built-in barbecue. There is a large grassy area and woods beyond the patio. This house has a view of the river – and direct access to it.

The dining room is on the left of the living room, on the other side of the fireplace. A mahogany table easily seats 10 under a magnificent chandelier. A beautiful chest is against one wall and a serving console complements the dining table. A wall of glass has French doors that open onto the patio and the grassy area that borders the river.

The kitchen, off the dining room, is superb. It has a 5-burner cream colored Godin stove that faces the dining room so that a cook can either demonstrate what is being made or can chat with the diners. There is a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, a microwave. Glass fronted cream colored cupboards hold best-quality dishes and glassware. Windows look to the front garden. Walls hold hanging herbs and photographs of Marilyn Monroe.

Next to a door to the front garden, an adjacent pantry houses the washer and dryer, but you can send items to the hotel laundry, if you prefer.

Two bedrooms are on the main floor.

One bedroom has twin beds that can convert to a king bed. The beds have a gray fabric headboard and warm beige bedspreads. There is a built-in wardrobe, a dressing table, an easy chair and a cupboard with a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Colors are rich golds, beige and brown. Fabulous brushes are framed in a box that hangs on the walls. A French door opens onto a private patio in a beautiful garden area.

The en suite bathroom has a large shower stall, a bidet, a toilet and double sinks.

Across the hall, the second bedroom has a king bed that can convert to twin beds. This bedroom is nearly identical to the first bedroom (including the flat screen TV and DVD player) except that the colors are different: tan and gray and some beige. This room also has a French door that opens onto a small, private patio and gardens.

The large en suite bathroom is the similar to the first bedroom but it has a large shower stall and a bathtub.

Upstairs, there is a wide landing that is actually a loft that runs the length of the dining room. It is furnished with a desk and chair, a bookcase, a window that looks onto the front gardens.

The third bedroom has a king bed that can convert to twin beds. The beautiful cover is soft gray-aqua and a beige fabric headboard. Above the bed, hangs a photograph of little horses. There is a built-in clothes cupboard, a dressing table, an easy chair covered in gray chenille, a bookcase that has a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Two sets of demi-lune windows let in air and sky. A French door opens onto a Juliet balcony that overlooks the grounds and the woods beyond that.

There is a nice cedar walk-in closet in this bedroom. The en suite bathroom has a long, deep tub with a hand-held shower and there is a separate shower stall as well. There is a bidet, a toilet and double sinks.

The fourth bedroom has a king bed that can convert to twin beds. The bedspread has ivory and beige checks and there is a beige headboard. An easy chair is covered in beige. Two benches are upholstered in blue. Drapes are silver. There are cupboards and a built-in closet and bookshelves, one of which has a flat screen TV and DVD player. A fine collection of antique ivory plaques hangs over the bed. Two sets of demi-lune windows let in air and sky and two sets of French doors open to a Juliet balcony.

The en suite bathroom has a long, deep tub with a hand-held shower and there is a separate shower stall as well. There is a bidet, a toilet and double sinks. The is a dressing area and closets are located just before the bathroom.

The house is in a secluded area on a little road with two other similar houses. It's on the grounds of a world-famous 5-star hotel and you, as a renter of the villa, are entitled to use all of the hotel's amenities: golf course, tennis courts, jacuzzi, pool, fitness room, for instance. You can arrange for the hotel chef to come to your villa to cook some meals, if you like. You can use the hotel laundry services as well. This is a fabulous way for you to have the best of villa living and the best of a fine hotel.

Kenmare is one of the gems of County Kerry. The village has many restaurants, shops, pubs. It is located on the famous Ring of Kerry. There are walks and gorgeous drives in the surrounding hills. Golf courses abound. Killarney, a lovely small city, is 1/2 hour's drive from Kenmare as is the spectacular Gap of Dunloe. The Dingle Peninsula is, about an hour from the property, is unbelievably beautiful.
