This is a very attractive and comfortable house on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood just off Westbourne Park Road between Ladbroke Grove and Chepstow Road.

Enter into a hallway that has a washer, dryer and freezer set into a deep recessed area along the wall.

Continue up a few steps to a landing. The bathroom is off this landing. It is a large room with a striking mosaic decor and a big tub with a shower over tub.

Up a few more steps, there’s a large, welcoming sitting room that is welcoming and very comfortable. It has wood floors, warm grey-green walls and white woodwork, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, cupboards, a piano, a small chair by the window. A sofa and two easy chairs flank the gas fireplace. A large old tapestry hangs on the wall. There’s a TV, CD, tape, radio stereo. Two windows look down onto Powis Terrace.

The eat-in kitchen has light gray-green counters and white walls, wood floors, a hob and two ovens, a dishwasher, an espresso machine, many cupboards. The long, narrow wood table seats 8. This is a cook's kitchen, warm and friendly and with the same easy, personal style as the rest of the house.

Another short flight of stairs, these carpeted in red, go up to a landing that has double glass doors out to the terrace. It's about 12 feet square and has a round wood table and chairs, a iron railing and many potted plants. This is the perfect oasis in nice weather.

Back inside, eight stairs go up to the top landing that has an antique love seat and a Chinese dragon tapestry on the wall.

The master bedroom is quite large. It has a queen bed, a red lamp, an inlaid wood table, a dresser, CD and tape player, a tiled Victorian fireplace (decorative only). This room is directly above the sitting room so it has the same views overlooking the street.

The second bedroom is not as large. It has a standard double bed, two chests of drawers, a decorative Victorian fireplace, built-in closets, shelves. The room is spare, but welcoming and comfortable.

The house is a 2-minute walk to pubs, shops, restaurants and Portobello Road (which has a great Saturday street market).

A £350 security deposit is held by credit card until after departure. Heating and electricity are extra. The price includes fresh linen weekly and cleaning on your departure.
